Cask Beer—Questions Answered

What size casks do you sell your beer in?

We sell our cask beers in 2 different sizes: 4.5 gallons/36 pints/20.5 litres named "pins", and 9 gallons/72 pints/40.9 litres named "firkins".

How long do you have to let cask beer settle before serving?

We recommend approximately 48 hours of settling time to allow the sediment to drop and for the beer to "breathe".

How long do you cask beers last once opened?

We recommend that you consume within 7 days from tapping, however if you have a very decent and clean cellar, our beers can last a few days longer.

Please always keep your taps, lines, equipment, etc all clean.

If you want to extend the life of your cask beer, we recommend using a cask aspirator.

What temperature should the cask be stored at?

Cask beers should be kept cool but not too cold. We recommend 9°C–13°C, ideally 11°C.
